Sending faxes
You have various options to send a fax through sipgate. You can attach PDF files to your fax as well as inserting graphics, signatures and comments. Moreover, you can use self-designed templates and save drafts for later use. You can customize your faxes at any time and it's a breeze because it only requires a few, simple steps.
How to:
Choose a recipient
Conveniently select from your contact list or manually enter the recipients information in the appropriate field. When you click on Add from contacts, a window will appear from your contact list and you only have to click on the intended fax recipient. This works with both the entry of numbers and letters. If you want to send the fax to several recipients, separate them with a comma.
Recipient’s address
Click on the appropriate field and a pop up window will appear so that you can edit the recipient's information. (e.g. add name, street address etc.)
Subject, date, text
With just a simple click on the respective fields, a pop up window appears so that you can add the necessary information such as the subject line, the date and of course the main body of your fax. With the integrated editor you can edit your text just like any word document (e.g. bold, italics, right justified etc.).
Add a signature
Graphics can be uploaded and inserted into a fax with the signature button. Just click on the signature button and then on Upload image in the pop up window. Once you have have uploaded your desired graphic/signature, you can place it according to your needs within the fax.
PDF attachments
Attach PDF files with an arbitrary page number (up to 2 MB) from your hard disk. Click on Attach PDF and follow the instructions.
Add a comment
Click on Add comment and a small window will appear. Double-click on this window to add text. Additionally, you can easily adjust the size and location of the comment window within your fax.
Schedule when to send the fax
Decide whether or not the fax should be sent immediately or select a specific date and time to suit your needs.
Save a draft
If you want to use the prepared fax later, click on the Save as draft button. Afterwards, the draft will be saved in the left navigation bar under Drafts.
