Setting up special routing
You can setup special routing for each of your phones. With special routing you can set each of your phones to have different routing depending on whether your phone number is called, if your extension number is called or if your group is called. If standard routing is enabled all phones will call no matter whether you are called via your phone number, extension number or group.
How to setup special routing:
- Click Settings.
- Click Edit routing.
You will now see an overview and can edit your routing for your phone number, your extension number and your group.
Example:

When called:
- on your extension number all phones will ring.
- on your phone number (415) 456-1234 only your cell phone "business" will ring.
- via your group Marketing all phones will ring.
When called via your phone or extension number you can select all of your phones to ring or only one. When called via your group you can select all your phones or any amount of them to ring.
Important: Should you activate the DND (do not disturb) function, it will only take effect for any phone number/extension number or group that has no special routing activated. With standard routing activated any call forwarding setup will be active for all phones linked to the phone number. However, once special routing has been activated you must setup specific call forwarding features for each individual phone.
