A free phone number for everyone.
sipgate provides numbers from 19 states. If your state is not on the list we will give you a free phone number in California. Check which number you will get:
Do I get to choose a number I like?
Sure thing. When you sign up, sipgate will offer you a choice of numbers. We will try to offer you a number from your state. If we do not yet have numbers available from the state you live in, we will offer you a free California number.
When will you offer free phone numbers in my area?
We currently offer free numbers from 19 states including: Arizona, California, Colorado, Indiana, Nevada, Oregon, Washington and Utah.
You will be assigned a free California number if your state is not available. Paid numbers are available from a number of other states.
I didn't pick a number at sign-up. Can I get one later?
No Problem. Just log in, go to Settings and click Add a phone number when you’re ready. Pick a free or paid phone number.
Can I switch from my free California number to a number from my state when it becomes available?
Yes, absolutely. We will notify you once such a number becomes available and you may switch at no cost.
Can I use numbers from different area codes?
Yes, that's not a problem. We even plan to allow you to use numbers from different countries in the future.
Do you have free numbers from every city in the states you provide?
We try to provide free numbers from as many places as possible, while keeping the sipgate one accounts free. However, prices for phone numbers may vary from city to city and free phone numbers aren't available everywhere. Please enter your desired zip code in the box above and find out if free or paid local phone numbers are available in your area.
Can I keep my number when I switch to sipgate?
At the moment transferring your number to sipgate is not possible. We are however, currently working on allowing you to do so.
How long does it take for a number to become active, when I order from sipgate?
Literally just a few seconds. We try to set you up with a new number faster than you can dial a test call. Try us.
